The Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act (CBPA)

CRM,llc offers an extensive knowledge base regarding Local, State, and Federal environmental regulations. CRM,llc will ensure that your property is fully compliant with all appropriate regulations. The purpose of the CBPA is to protect and improve the water quality of the Chesapeake Bay by regulating land use and development. The primary component of the CBPA is the Resource Protection Area (RPA). CRM,llc can help with all facets of development/disturbance both inside and outside the RPA.

Permissible uses within the 100-foot buffer area include, but are not limited to, the installation of boardwalks, trails, pathways, and access paths, general woodlot management, sight lines, and projects approved by the Wetlands Board. A water quality impact assessment (WQIA) and/or a plan of development (POD) is required for any encroachment in the RPA. CRM,llc will efficiently and effectively file the appropriate applications and guide your project through the Local permitting processes.
