CRM,llc will conduct an on-site assessment gathering information about site and surrounding conditions to evaluate what measures will be viable shoreline protection and erosion control solutions.
A living shoreline is a shoreline stabilization technique using natural materials such as plants, sand nourishment, and hard structures to protect shorelines from erosional forces. A softer approach to shoreline protection can be sand nourishment, plantings, and coir logs. Structural methods such as sills, oyster castles and marsh toe revetments can also be components of a living shoreline. CRM,llc can plan and design the most appropriate living shoreline combination for your property. See some of our permitted designs below.
Hardened stabilization includes the installation of rock revetments and bulkheads against the upland bank. Breakwaters, while being a hard structure, allow for littoral movement of sand along the beach. Hard shoreline stabilization should only be used when no other shoreline stabilization option is viable. CRM,llc can plan and design the most appropriate hardened shoreline structure for your property. See some of our permitted designs below.
After a completed site assessment, a plan and design will be developed. The design will incorporate the property owner’s tastes and resources. CRM,llc will efficiently and effectively file the appropriate applications and guide your project through the Local, State, and Federal permitting processes.
